When James Chocolates asked if I鈥檇 like to sample their artisan chocolates I jumped at the opportunity! How could I resist such delicious looking chocolate?!
James Hutchins started out making chocolate by hand in 1995. He had been working in a Bristol delicatessen and became fascinated by the exotic ingredients and different flavour combinations that lined the shelves.
Using his background as a scientist he started experimenting with different flavour combinations in his West Country kitchen and now, 20 years on, he is still fuelling the business with his creativity and passion for fine chocolate.
Milk Chocolate Raspberry Hearts

These were superb. The rich milk and white chocolate paired well with the delicate fruity taste of the dried raspberry.聽 These heart shaped chocolates would make a perfect romantic gift for any true chocolate connoisseur.
Milk Chocolate with Hot Habanero and Smokey Chipotle Chilli
鈥淪olid deep milk chocolate and coloured chocolate chilli shapes robustly flavoured with Habanero and chipotle chilli. Choose a red Chilli for its intense heat and sharp, fruity flavour or the plain chipotle for an earthy, smoky taste, they also carried a warning: these chillies are hot. For chilli lovers only!鈥
These chocolates didn鈥檛 disappoint, they were packed full of flavour and the smooth, rich taste of the chocolate was interlaced with a robust kick of heat from the chilli. These were definitely for chilli lovers and were extremely moreish.
